Adjust Annotation Tool Settings
Change annotation settings before or during Annotation Mode. Each board keeps its own brush, highlighter, and shape settings.

Cap Style
Section titled “Cap Style”The Shapes tool offers two cap styles for open shapes (line and arrow):
- Round: Rounded endpoints, giving a softer look.
- Square: Flat endpoints that extend slightly past the drawn point.
Cap style has no effect on closed shapes (rectangle, ellipse, triangle).
Shape Snapping
Section titled “Shape Snapping”Shape snapping converts a held stroke to a precise geometric shape. Relevant settings:
- Hold delay: How long to hold before snapping occurs (approximately 0.1 to 1.5 seconds). A shorter delay snaps faster; a longer delay gives more time to draw freely.
- Haptic feedback: Optional haptic pulse when a snap is detected on devices with haptic feedback.
- Per-shape constraints: Each shape type (line, arrow, rectangle, ellipse, triangle) snaps independently. Holding while drawing a rectangle snaps to a perfect rectangle; holding while drawing a line snaps to straight lines at constrained angles.
Persistence
Section titled “Persistence”Settings are stored per board as JSON, so each board can have its own preferred tool configuration.
