Locking Items

Lock items to prevent accidental edits. A locked item cannot be moved, resized, rotated, or modified until it is unlocked.

Lock or Unlock

• Press ⌘⇧L with an item selected.
• Or use the lock button in the control bar or contextual menu.

What Locking Prevents

• Moving, resizing, and rotating
• Editing content (text, crop, metadata)
• Deleting

Locked Selection

When a locked item is selected, the contextual menu shows only the Unlock action. Unlock the item first to access other actions.

Locking works with all item types and in multi-selections.
